A cup celebrating the lovely arty town of Idyllwild, California. I made the design using Idyllwild's nickname "Idy" and accented it with a red star dot over the "I" to reflect the star in the California State Flag. Then I had a custom stamp 3D printed. This mug form is wheel thrown body on a textured handbuilt base and handbuilt handle. The texture is pine branches and pine cones. The stamped area was hand painted. The cup is glazed in a yummy warm creamy matte on a deep red clay body.
