New body of work! My aesthetic has evolved and so too has the decoration on my work. These mugs have been an exploration of color and texture. This new work contains the classic forms, sometimes even “classical,” but my decoration inspiration comes from old abandoned houses, the peeling paint and wallpaper, abandoned vehicles showing rust and decay, Mother Earth taking back her domain.
 
I want to reflect what I imagine a piece of pottery would look like if it was left in the forest for years, decades, even millenia.

Uses: Really great for holding mayonnaise for artichoke leaf dipping. Spoon rest, trinket dish, miscellaneous catch-all are also other uses. Cherry tomatoes in the image to use for scale. Though truly, I would absolutely use this dish to eat cherry tomatoes.
 
All tableware that I make is fully functional, food/dishwasher safe. It will break if you drop it, though.
