This mug form is wheel thrown body on a textured handbuilt base and handbuilt handle. The texture is pine branches and pine cones. The cup is glazed in a beautiful blue on a deep red clay body.
 
This mug is a fully functional mug. I used it to test a concept that will help me in some future work that I have planned. The cup is a little heavy due to the two layers of clay that I used to test my theory.
