These ceramic flower bricks are built from slabs as well as thrown forms. With feet and flower stem supports, they look a little like they are dancing with a slight twirl from a skirt. The decoration is created from a red iron oxide wash, underglaze transfers, stencils, porcelain slip and underglaze wash.
This brick features the dandelion wish puff and seedlings that are digitally altered images of the perfect wishpuff brought to me by my child when they were 4. "Mommy, I brought you a flower!"
